Newest version of foursquare works over wifi for me. I am running OS 7.1 on a 9900.
Ok I will test that out in a little bit, I was reading at their site that said they only supported data on BlackBerrys but who knows how long ago they updated that. I will report back once I try it.
Just checked it out on my Curve, it works great over WiFi and all my checkins are working fine.
A good rule of thumb, if the app is BBM connected, and you use BBM fine on WiFi, chances are good that the app will also work on WiFi. For the most part.
Thanks for the tip, I don't use BBM but I know my social data plan supports it so I have never thought of it that way. I will remember that when I look at apps from now on.
