Lol, imo (and no disrespect to either Shao or LS), the best flashlight is part of the stock OS and is more commonly known as the video recorder.
You can use the spacebar to toggle on/off.

Edit: update
I downloaded bestFlash (it was free, why not? ) and it's pretty sweet too. Video camera is still more useful imo, but bestflash is cool/useful.

Right now on CrackBerry, BestFLASH and BestFLASH with Meters are free. These sell steadily at $4 and $5 respectively on App World, and with all due respect to Shao the inventor of the video camera cover screen (in FlashOn), if you can find a more complete or better free or paid flashlight than BestFLASH, I'll give you a coupon for all my apps free.

No disprespect to you or Shao, but I use MicroFire... I still have BestFlash on my Mobihand list, but think MF is the best one.

I have been using ExtraLight for BlackBerry for ages. It is a real dumb, click On, <Escape> Off. White screen + LED that only does one thing, make a light.

It runs on any BlackBerry, any OS.

Needless to say, it is $0
