    Is there a Flashlight App. for this phone?
    i figure you could tuen the camera flash into a serious light. anyone know?

    Do a forums search and you will see lots of coversation about this. Also, look at the software store here on the site and you will see a flashlight app for sale. I think it is $2.99. Hope this helps.

    Go to the video camera > bb button > options > turn video light on. Tada, flashlight. I don't use the video camera so I just leave this setting on and anytime I access the video camera i have a flashlight.

    Ha, that is a good idea. I found myself in the server room the other day where I work and we needed to get into the back of one of our racks, so I was using my phone's flash, but every few seconds I would have to press the button down again to illuminate the area.

    im going to time the battery when i get a chance. it seemed like i lost a bar when i was using it for a few minutes. i think its a real power drainer. i feel like the phone should have came with a door to shovel the coal in with the light on

    i do this also. and i've added the video recorder to my quicklaunch so my "flashlight" is only two clicks away

    The season that there is no proper flashlight app that uses the camera flash is because there is no way to access it through the api. So you won't see applications like this until either rim updates the sdk, or someone finds a work around (which is not very likely)
