I like BB Smartview, mostly because I need the templates for work.

Definately NOT Empower Pro, because they completely screwed up my order, tried to charge my card twice, and never provided me with the software. Moreover, they never attempted to contact me, and then took hours and hours to respond to my inquire. Then, they failed to make things right which would have been incredibly easy to do. They were far to concerned about a lousey $30 and not at all concerned about providing their product in a timely manner.

See my post about not recommending MobiHand sales/service for more details.

    Patrick,

To be fair... Is your problem with Empower or MobiHand? MobiHand is just the re-seller! I purchased my EmPower through Crackberry and had NO TROUBLE whatsoever! I even had to deal with Empower customer service directly following two separate warranty replacements and they responded within MINUTES both times!

Empower's customer service was phenomenonal in my book! I've never dealt with MobiHand, and I don't intend to either! Shop.crackberry.com has everything I need!

    I have a small doubt,at present I'm using 8700c and planning to get 8820 after 5 or 6 months.

If I buy 'Empower Pro' now and install it in 8700c,will I be able to use it in 8820 also or I will require a new license?

Kindly suggest me a solution !

    Thanks in advance !

Empower Pro all the way... loads pretty fast, seemless integration with BB email client, etc. For me, $30 is a bit steep but search around, you might find some coupon code or something.

And to ksundar, since both of the BB have different PIN numbers, you'll probably have to get separate license for each.

Yeah, Empower does rock. I was sad when I thought I was going to have to live without it. But luckily, the guys at Empower fixed me up, after a mix up with my order.

It is way faster than BB Smart's version, and has a lot more options, functions. One of the few products that you really will need 30 days to evaluate all the options.

Although I ordered the Pro version, since I actually use Todo and Idea Matrix so I'm not sure yet if there are really any features of the pro that I'll use. However, the Matrix products have injection options of their own, so I think I'll be able to do it, even though I haven't tried it.

True, but if you are not going to be using the old BB, send an email to Mobylo with your old pin and the new one. Be sure to explain that you will no longer be using the old device and would like to switch your registration. In a few days you will get an email with a code for your new device. That is what I did when I went from a Pearl to a Curve
