Just in time to buy those Avatar tickets!

Actually it's ok, nothing special, but it does allow you to purchase tickets. The text formatting is very small and there is a very strange download process too... you have to click on Mobile on the regular Fandango site, then click on the BB section and enter your BB model. You'll then get a link to the getjar site. Below is the link for my BB model (Tour)

Fandango Movies for BlackBerry 9630 Tour / Free Download

Can we get an OTA for those of us who are not near a computer?

Just go to www [dot] getjar [dot] com on your BB and then search Fandango. Worked for me.

Its ok- nothing earth-shattering. It didn't impress me more than Flixster's Movies App so I deleted it. I can always use the mobile site if I really need to make a purchase with my Fandango account on the go.
Overall I didn't love the layout, aesthetics and Flixster has the DVD section which I really like.

Awesome! i've been using mobile.fandango.com for years to buy movie tickets! So convenient! Great to have an app finally!

Fandango App OTA link from getjar.com.

    App works smoothly!

after DLing it, I tried to run it... nothing

I tried to do a battery pull and it bricked my BB... I'm in the middle of reloading everything right now.

I downloaded and really like the app. However, as a first, it actually is causing a (albeit minor) leak on my Storm 2.

I have isolated and found that it is indeed Fandango that is causing it. Again, nothing major, as the app is a nice bridge for the theaters that I can't buy tickets from through Poynt. The leak is probably only .1-.2 MB/hour, and nothing that slows down the phone.

Anyone else getting any leak from Fandango, and if so, is it as small as mine? I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but same. I like the app and can live with it, but if others are getting larger leaks, I may uninstall for the time being.
