This version of FB (1.6.0.22) is looking for 5.0.0.230+ before it will let you download it. Anything less will not be "offered" the upgrade.

Sounds like it's time to get with the program and move up to 230.

well i installed 5.0.0.230 lastnight and facebook would not even install, just a few minutes ago it installed and is running great!!

As explicitly stated, you need to be running 5.0.0.230.

After I installed Facebook last night, I realized that everytime I wanted to type a Message (Email, SMS, or MMS), it would automatically switch to Portrait....and I wasnt able to put the phone in Landscape no matter what I did.

I didnt attribute it to Facebook at first...but then I remember someone saying that flick scrolling wasnt working in Facebook.

Once I removed Facebook from my phone... I was able to type in landscape mode again in Messages (Email, SMS, and MMS).

Facebook worked GREAT...there was no message ghosting...and I could click on all messages and pokes and they would open...

BUT....

I HAVE TO type in Landscape. I hate the other keyboards....
That **** was making me insane.


Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but wanted to put it out there.

Maybe I'll try facebook app again later on today when I can play with it more.

facebook seems to freeze or lock up my phone almost everytime I use it, it eventually unfreezes sometimes. is anyone else having issues?

I had a serious memory leak with Facebook, even after I exited the app. I was running steady at about 35MB and within one hour of running this app the memory dropped to 4MB. I uninstalled it and the memory has been holding steady again.

i'm trying to set a specific sound for facebook in my ring tones/alerts like i do for sms, email etc. for some reason it keeps defaulting to the Notifier_Crystal sound with volume=silent after a battery pull. is this happening to anyone else?

yes...i'm hitting save after i edit.
