Yesterday and today my Facebook app has been unable toconnect with Facebook. The mobile website is working. Has anybody else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Apparently, if you are one of those people who log out of the FB app and you are now trying to log back in, you can't "connect." If you always keep yourself logged in, you can "connect." The problem seems to be with the log in connection. It's not device or OS specific and has nothing to do with any recent OS upgrades. There is a workaround here involving the beta.

Yup, it's the login connection. Saw your FB beta zipfile, don't know that I want to go that route.

i did the OS update on my tour last night. i was fine before it. now i'm not.

I believe I've found the solution to the problem. Log into Facebook from the desktop version and go to your settings>notifications>UNCHECK Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones. I did that and it worked for me, please confirm if that works.

Well removing the notifications failed for me BUT removing the application worked under application settings did. Thanks for the idea. BTW it gets added back once you login from your BB.

Great! I suspect the settings were giving conflicting information so if you delete it or change the settings as outlined and log in through BB, it will reconfigure it properly.

I could not access FB for the last 48 hrs. Had just u/g to 5.8xxx so thought that was problem. Just had another go and got straight in. Seems it was a FB issue - lots of forums reporting problem. Looks like they have fixed it (for me anyway!)
