I turned off all emails from Facebook and this seems to have led to an unexpected consequence of me not receiving facebook notifications on my blackberry any longer. Is there any way I can keep email notifications turned off entirely but still get facebook notifications on my phone? (I know you can configure the app to leave notification emails on the server but this isn't what I'm looking to do).
Unfortunately there is no way to do this, the app uses the information you get from a facebook email as code for your bb facebook notification. Infact if you turn emails back on and uninstall the app they will simply appear as emails. But with those same emails and the app installed it links into the app for you to view.
Your only other option is to check the mobile site often or turn on sms messages to your phone to notify you when to check the mobile site.
But that's it, the app needs those emails to work, and without them the app is useless.
