Facebook Notifications/Email Problem

Problem: I just setup my Gmail account on my Blackberry Tour using the Email wizard. How come my Facebook notifications all of the sudden stopped being sent to my Gmail account? Now they just go straight to my Facebook application. I don't want them to go straight to the Fbook app, I'd prefer that they remain just going to my Gmail account... This is ticking me off. Also, my Facebook settings shows that I should be getting email notifications still. Please help!

i think its the option in the facebook app that is 'leave notification on mail server' or something like that.
