I am new to the forums and apologize if this is already answered somewhere, however, I just did the update to Facebook 1.8 and there is no longer an option for me to say yes/no to "Leave messages on e-mail server." Now all of my notifications come via e-mail instead of via the Facebook application and I have been working on this for 2 days and can't find a fix!! I have the Tour and my friend who has an older Curve still has this option. Any help out this for this?!
Have you tried going into the fb app options screen? You can check the fb notifications to be notified of messages/updates via the app and right below that, it says "turn off email notification" and you click on it and then save your changes.
