At some point yesterday or this morning, my BB lost its ability to open "Status Comments". I get the notification email from Facebook, and the app picks it up and notifies me, but when I click on it, it brings up a menu giving me an option to "open", but this does nothing. I've tried opening them from in the email also, but it takes me back to the same place in the Facebook App and still doesn't open it.

Has anyone else had this issue? Does it last long? Is it a Facebook App update that sucks or what?

Yup, I'm having this issue also. It won't let me respond to the comment within the app, nor will it let me click the link to the mobile site.

I had that the other day; like it said I had a new wall post, but nothing was actually there. Not exactly the same issue, but a FB issue.

I just deleted the app and reinstalled and everything is a-okay now.

I got the same issue too. My brother has the storm and he says FB is acting up on it too. FB figure it out.

Yup. Same thing here. Deleted and re installed and the same problems are happening. Could it be the 4.7 roll out?

Facebook changed the format of the email notifications to HTML from plain text recently. I can only guess that the Blackberry Facebook app is having trouble translating them to integrate properly with the app. If you check the emails somewhere other than your Blackberry you'll see what I mean.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled through BB app world and I am no longer having this problem. Try that! Hope that helps!

Another thing I noticed is everything that would be in my calendar from Facebook is no longer there...birthdays, events, etc.

My wife and I both have tours and are experiencing the same issue. We both tried deleting and re-installing facebook today and that did not fix the issue. Any other ideas on a fix for this?

I have the BB Tour, and I started having the same problem several days ago. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, and it continue's to do it.

My facebook app is worthless now.. lots of problems within the last 2 days... I go onto the mobile site now just to avoid the problems facebook app is having...

this problem is on every model running fbook 1.6 as far as i know. hopefully they get this crap fixed

I have a Storm, and first it was only the issue of responding to the new Iphone Facebook app.. but now when certain posts are made I have to go to the mobile sight.. annoying. I wish they would update it already.

I'm glad it's not just me...I notice when I get a Status Notification or Friend Request, they won't open. I guess I'll wait it out!

the mobile facebook works flawless on mine.. its just the facebook app thats worthless anymore

i think FB is back to working again i just tried it after getting notify and was able to reply and check things on it through the bb app

nope, still not working for me. Not all status comments seem to be affected. I have a friend reporting the same issue.
