facebook icons and more

OK. I have downloaded the Facebook application and the icon does not appear on Apps Menu. I have even checked to see if it is hidden. I did see it visible in the BB Dimension... themes, but not in the Spring default theme.

What is the deal?

I also downloaded a new theme and that is not displayed in the selectable themes menu.

Have I missed something? BTW, I have only had my DingleBerry since last night, so I am new to this phone.
