I haven't been receiving most of my facebook notifications today so that might be related to your problem

If you don't have a data plan, it won't work.

Seems to be working OK in the UK atm on O2... but clearly there is a problem somewhere.

yeah me and the wife both on voda in uk , can go on facebook app and the mobile site just not receiving notifications, isnt the first time and wont be the last im sure.......

Wow... I thought I was the only one having that notification problem today.
I've tried re-registering routing table and sent service books, but still having the same issue.

You just shouldn't use the facebook app. Just get email notifications, and then sign in via facebook mobile, its basically the same thing, and its more reliable.

this may be true but if that was the case i wouldnt be using the app now would i?? i use the app cause i love the push notifications and i think the mobile site sucks ***, i use my bb email for jobs and important stuff, i dont want my e-mail filling up with e-mails from facebook, at least with the app the notifications stay in the app and not in my inbox clogging it up. But each to there own.

i do have a data plan indeed, my blackberry messenger works, just facebook doesnt work?? also i unistalled it, and reinstalled it in today it worked fine, but didnt sync the contacts with the dispaly pictures, as i signed out and went to log back in this error came back up again,

Facebook has just come back up. 17 hours of downtime are over. You can all get back to your Zynga games now haha

Yep had same error just an hour or so ago, but seems to be up now and fine.

A data plan is crucial to being able to fully use a blackberry device such as your storm2. Call up the carrier and have it added on.
