Hello! I'm a new user of blackberry. I just bought a BB from US, I used facebook and gmail application for a few days and later they were blocked because I don't have a data plan. I downloaded the 1.6 version of facebook 'cause I read that it was ok to use with no data plan, but the only thing I got was a message that says "Could not connect because a data service is not available"
Does anyone have an idea of what could I do to use this app?

The Facebook app requires a BB data plan. You can log on to the actual site without the plan, like if you were on wifi.

You say that you bought a BB from US, what provider are you using the BB with? This will shed some light on the situation.

The thing is that I bought it from US unblocked, so, in US it has no provider. I use TIM here im Brazil.

Doesn't matter if it is unlocked. You still need a BlackBerry Data plan to use the Facebook app on BlackBerry.

i have data plan and still cant use facebook application. it gives error about dataplan coz facebook is blocked in our country its sucks
