1.6.0.22 is A LOT faster and smoother than 1.7.

1.7 is buggy and just really slow.

Actually, for those who are running 1.6.0.22 I have a question.

Are you guys able to view your own stream? Because right now, I can only view the news feed stream but when I try to view my own it says No stream.

How do I get 1.6? Running 1.7 on my 9700 and its terrible

I second what curvey said...got 1.7 on my 9700, I want to revert to 1.6...all we need is an OTA download, I am going to do some searching

Not difficult.

Uninstall your current Facebook (1.7) through your Options>Applications and delete it through there. Battery Pull.

Then download the 1.6.0.22 from the link provided above and extract it onto your desktop or wherever.

Connect up your BB to your computer and load up AppLoader. From the AppLoader you can add/remove items to your BB.

Locate the folder where you extracted it to and select the .alx file that was extracted, and then click next to install and you're done!

When you've installed it please let me know how yours run. As I said previously, my own stream does not load up but the news feed stream does.

Compared to the iPhone version it absolutely is.

iPhone one gets regularly updates and usually comes when they release a new OS, and it has so much more functionality.

Heck even the mobile website is better, but I prefer the convienience of an app.

Trying to revert to the 1.6 version of FB. However, the .rar file (when I try to load it from my Desktop Manager) says that this application is not compatible with my device and cannot be loaded. I am on OS 5.0
Is this normal. How did any of you that did get it loaded get past this? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help =]

just updated phone to .545 and downloaded fb 1.7 for first time and it seems to run pretty smooth and i have news feeds, status photos and links and still getting acquainted to the app but i can also view my own streams (post,walls etc) im not to sure if this is what some are talking about but it is very smooth and fast loading and posting, not sure whats different in 1.6 ?

Just installed this on my Tour w/ OS 5.0.0.530. WOW! I was running FB 1.7 since the day it came out, up until about 2 months ago when just got sick of how slow it was and started using the Mobile site. This definitely changes that. Thanks a ton to whoever posted this!

Yes I am able to view my own stream. The only thing I'm missing is the ability to "like" things. But I can absolutely deal with that.
