Hi All

Ever since upgrading to .566 once Vodafone UK launched it I have had an issue with 2 x gmail email accounts not syncing or being able to delete items.

Spotted something in the BIS 3 discussion and downloaded a newer version from Enhanced Gmail Plug-in for BlackBerry Smartphones and it is version 2.0.0.55.

This has solved my problems and thought others may need it!

You're right jimlad, the link version is 2.0.0.25 but on my latest OS for the 9700, the version is already 5.0.0.35 and it solved the sync problem from 2.0.0.25

i think mine tells me when a new version is out too? i may be wrong but thought it popped up and said a new version was out

Is there any way we can get this plug-in as a stand alone file to install on the handset?

If I click that link, it tries to download version 1.0.0.59, which is what I have. Is it OS or device dependent?

I'm thinking the 2.0 versions are for OS 5.0 - so if you're still running OS 4.5 you don't get the new version.

5.0 allows some other options with the gmail plug in (like OTA gmail contact integration) so maybe that's what the 2.0 version is for.

I can't download anything newer than 1.0.0.59 (running 4.5.0.186) - I do have labels and the 'new' option, however.

Maybe try resending service books? That's what I had to do to get it to show.

I had the exact same problem. To fix it I had to edit the net_rim_bb_gmail.alx file so the </required> and </hidden> fields were both false. Then I could reload version .25 through the blackberry desktop.

I tried installing and removing the plugin and removing and replacing the BIS account and services books probably 20 times over a few days and never could get the plugin back.

The file is located in Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/LoaderFiles/[your BB OS]/
