I had my Bold (Blackberry 9000) replaced and had to reinstall everything, including the BIS information for the new PIN, and when I did, I received the activation for my gmail accounts that included an "enhanced plug in".
I downloaded the plug-in, rebooted the phone, but nothing happened. I did some research and I was supposed to receive a PIN message, and the icons were supposed to change, but I did not receive the message and the icons are still the same...nothing happened. The install WAS successful, because I tried to re-install and it said that the plug in was already installed. I deleted and re-established the accounts but that did not work either.
I think you need to feel fortunate because I'm pretty sure everyone says the plug-in sucks donkey nuts. It caused all kids of problems for me and I'm happy to be rid of it.
