Empower HTML Mail Pro - Link appearance

Hey guys,

I ordered the Empower HTML Mail Viewer Pro a few weeks ago.

There is one annoying thing about this piece of software.
When there is a hyperlink in a mail it's displayed like this:

http://forums./.../=newthread&f=35 New Thread

in the Standard mail application:

http://forums.crackberry.com/newthre...newthread&f=35 New Thread


Why isn't it like this New Thread ????

The only advantage of the Empower solution over the default is that it can display images (what I don't use cuz it's senseless anyway) and shortens the hyperlinks a bit. However it still makes half of my mails twice as long as on the PC because it still dispays the hyperlink-target seperated from the hyperlink-caption....

Am I just too stupid to find the option to change that or is it just impossible?

BBEmail.....and it's free....

You,re not the only one. But, I'll admit that the upgrade looked a bit more appealing over the standard version:)

I tried signing up to see what it was and get more info and the website doesn't even work... unless its my computer that reached the errors a bunch of times... which I doubt.

There is no setting for it at the moment. They are adding that setting for the next update -- it will allow you to display the full url.

Stefan - the reason you don't see a link like this New Thread is because RIM systems that deliver emails to your BlackBerry strip all html tags before delivering the email.

Now, in HTML emails internet links are marked by an opening and a closing tag.
< a href="www.google.com">Google Searches< /a> are best.

Any email viewer (GMail, YahooMail, Outlook, Thunderbird etc) show it as -
Google Searches are best

The closing tags < /a> marks the end of the link, and tells you the name of the link. However, when RIM systems parse the above email - they will just produce -

www.google.com Google Searches are best.

Without the closing tags, you cannot be sure where does the name of the link ends. Is it just "Google" or "Google Searches" or "Google Searches are" ?
