I currently am on a 8830 WE Blackberry and am finally moving onto the new 9650...in the midst of all this excitement...there are a lot of changes that I'm prepping for. Coming from OS 4.2 on my 8830...I realize things have come a long way. My 2 main questions regarding this app are:
1) Are there any problems using this for the new Bold 9650?
2) Is there a reason to do this anymore? Back in the good ol' days...the BB simply doesn't format the emails properly (or at all actually)...I think these days the new OS's handle html emails and I was just wondering if it's still worth running this app?
OS 4.5 and up provides for HTML email, so Empower isn't needed. However, for security reasons, external images will not automatically download, you have hit get images to get them. There is an app called Show Me The Images which can do this for you. I've been using it since it came out and works great.
