You are asking for stand-alone POP3/SMTP client. I do not know of one, but I'm sure there is one somewhere..

Alternatively, Google can check your POP3 accounts. You can then install Google Mail on your BlackBerry and view all checked emails. The Google Mail application works like their webmail, but without a browser.

I use GMX as a web collector for various accounts. Works just fine to accumulate mail and then pushed to mobile in one account.

GMX and Google Mail have similar features.

I'm fairly sure that the current Google Mail application uses pull rather than push. In other words, it checks every few minutes instead of being instantly prompted. To me this makes no difference.

There is an enterprise version of Google Mail that supports push but I'm not interested enough to find out where to get it. You say pushed, do you have more information on the protocol used by GMX?

The GMX abstract does say POP3 and IMAP, but an abstract is not detailed enough. When I try to learn more, the site is too slow for me to navigate and each time I give up with frustration.
