The skype lite app won't be available until may for the BB.

But if you need to use skype right now, you can use IM+ for Skype.

As Armak said, Skype should be coming to blackberry devices in may (or soon after). I use iSkoot as my Skype client. Its free to use (you will pay to "Skype Out" just as you would from your computer, but otherwise free). You can get mire information & download it @ iSkoot.
It is in Beta right now. I've only had one hiccup using it & it was fixed in a few days. You may need to disable compatibility mode once downloaded to use the application properly on your Storm

Supposedly skype light is supposed to be in beta testing. I think it was crackberry who reported this. So some people do have it, aka the beta testers. Wonder if that is what op was wondering. But I doubt anyone who does have it would be coming to forums to talk about it, unless they really want to share

This wont happen. Non disclosures were to be signed by each beta tester.

I was accepted as a Beta tester but never received the install files or instructions to participate.

I still have the managers contact info but every time I ask him how the beta testing is going I get no response, this cant be good.

Providers are too scared...so they won't allow slype lite to be released anytime soon. It would be a huge threat to their business.
So you can forget about any VoIP application on the BB.
