I always have this same problem when I try to upgrade. I am using the premium version.

    1. DTG does not recognize my Torch. It defaults to 9500.
    2. I download the jad/cod files from Dataviz website but it is still the old version.

Did anyone with Torch manage to upgrade?

I got 2.0005.105 - already had it though.
Maybe it's an OS6 only upgrade.

I just had the upgrade on my Storm 2 yesterday - OS 5.0. No issues at all.

Hmm ... maybe so. Even when I click on the "Check for Updates" option in the application is says I have the "most current version". I'm currently running v2.0004. Premium version.

I have a Torch and have managed to upgrade. Had problems with pdf to go though. I went in to Word to Go and clicked check for upgrade. That took me to the new OS6 version which installed fine.
When I tried the same with pdf to go it said I was running a Storm 9500 and downloaded the OS5 version! In the end I had to delete pdf to go from my device, go into Word to Go and click on the install pdf to go from within that app. Then it downloaded and installed the OS6 version no trouble.

I thought this was just for PDF To Go only. That's all I could get to upgrade.

I have a Bold 9780. I opened documents to go and it prompted me for an upgrade. During the upgrade process I accidentally canceled the upgrade. I cannot find out how to initiate the upgrade again.

You might have to go the Dataviz site and download it from there.

The following worked for me (instructions from DocID: 14433 - How do I install Documents To Go 2.0 on my BlackBerry smartphone?

All the links provided on Dataviz's website lead to older versions of D2G, but here are the links to download the newest version:

    OS 4.7 or 5.0: http://download.dataviz.com/support/...ta_os47-50.zip

    OS 6.0: http://download.dataviz.com/support/...5_ota_os60.zip

(It looks like both the 4.7-5.0 and 6.0 versions actually contain the same files, all ending with "47")

Download to your computer, unzip, transfer folder to your BB's USB card, go to "Media," click option button and then "Explore," then locate the file named "DocumentsToGo47_AllLangs.jad" in the folder you just transferred. Open it, and D2G should install properly. You can then delete the folder from your media card.

Thanks bcryberg your instructions saved me.
The interrupted download made it impossible for me to open Documents To Go. I received the following error: "error starting wordtogo47: Module 'docsToGoCommon47' not found"
After following your instructions I was able to successfully update Documents To Go. Your instructions are more precise than on the Documents to Go site.

I have the Style and when I go to upgrade the Style is not an option. I am a little bit hesitant to download one of the other models version. Any suggestions?

love this app. best one for office docs. have the torch and i havent had any of the issues described here but i bought it not too long ago with the most recent OS so i think that might be the issue for you guys.

one question though. does anybody who uses this know how to make columns? or is that not a feature thus far? would really like to have this feature on it.

besides that the app is great. use it to make rough drafts of my docs when not around my laptop and just transfer to word to make any adjustments.
