1) Why pay for the upgrade? (I know read the comparison page). But is it worth it?
2) How does the Premium version compare with the likes of eOffice or QuickOffice?
The email they sent me states your device MUST HAVE ver 4.5 or better in order for this program to operate. Anyone know if there is a 4.5 ver for a Verizon 8830 on the horizon?
Thanks
I just got the email, and i'm pretty disappointed. You have to upgrade to Premium according to the email if you want to create documents. EAFD DataViz, on my Treo I can create all day long with the free version that came with the OS. And Premium is only $50 for Palm OS. Very, very lame

So Docs to go wont work on anything lower than OS 4.5? Thats a bummer
Don't take my word for it, but I'm pretty sure that OS 4.3, which is what the Curve has, is the same thing as OS 4.5. The upgrade version for older phones that is being called 4.5 was originally called 4.3. We're all using 4.2, so that at least makes some sense...
Yeah, $70 is an utter joke, when the only 'feature' is being able to create your own documents. ****, they don't even have the 2007-format stuff finished yet. Lame.
(And no, you will have to be running OS 4.5 or 4.6 to upgrade, because you need the base version included with the OS. 4.5 will be out for the Curve "soon".)

I won't comment on the price because everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what an application like this is 'worth', however the list of premium features is available at the link below and I think you'll find there's more than 1 thing there:
Also keep in mind that similar apps for BlackBerry smartphones have been selling in the $100 range or have a yearly renewal fee tied to them.
As far as features that aren't 'finished' yet: if you buy now, you're going to get everything on that list. If it's not ready when you purchase, you'll get it in a free update when it's ready (and besides, if you're with a US carrier your device probably doesn't meet the system requirements yet anyway so that 'issue' could disappear pretty quickly).
