Do I need blackberry messenger or blackberry tasks?

Is it ok to delete these preloaded apps or will it mess up my phone?

Some preloaded apps are required for the proper operation of your BB. Also, certain preloaded apps interact with 3rd party apps...like BB Messenger.

bb messenger only interact with other BB messenger

I removed tasks 2wks ago, no issues w/anything!! Do a backup, if you change your mind you can reload them.

If you don't plan to use BB Messenger, you are clear to delete it and the Tasks app, also. Those two are standalones, and a number of people delete them.

Just make sure you have a backup in case you ever want to use them.

Yes its ok to remove those two apps without messing up your phone. Plus you can alway reinstall them in app loader just by selecting them on the list. Even though you remove them, they are still listed in app loader.
