They are iPhone fanboys. (I also have Dish network.)
From their commercial: "Do it from your *echo echo echo*IPHONE*echo echo echo* and LAPTOP.

+1 for a Dish network app like the one advertised for directTV

I understand but your reply made it seem you were saying it was only available on the Iphone.

also what's funny is you have to have your dang sat receiver hooked up to the internets for you to be able to schedule recordings remotely. even my old basic cable tv provider let you do it w/o having your dvr hooked up to the internet!

anyway +1 for dishnetwork app. it'll never happen but doesn't hurt to wish..

It's because with cable everything comes over 1 cable. (phone, internet, television)

DirecTv's app let's you set recordings without your receiver being networked or connected to a phone line

I would love a DN app on my blackberry.

For now I go to mobile.dishnetwork.com and sign in on my blackberry. Its real slow and some of the functionality doesnt work, but its cool for now. I think I was able to set a recording once. I dont really remember. I dont use it as much because its so slow.

Well, satellite is just like a cellular phone company. You're stuck in a contract. (At least we are for 2 years.) I think it's because we were able to get a free HD Dish DVR Duo
