I just decided to try out the recently released BB AIM client on my ATT Bold. I love how it's nicely integrated, but there's one thing I can't stand...it sets me under that "mobile status" thing, so people using AIM on a computer can see you're on a phone. I can't speak for everyone, but it seems like nobody ever talks to "mobile status" people in fear of annoying them, assuming they have a rinky-dink Motorola phone

Anyone know a way to change this? In the meantime I'll stick to Beejive so people will actually chat with me

I dunno about your friends but mine'll bug me whether I'm mobile or not. **** mine'll bug me in the shower if they feel like it. I doubt you can change it....I know with MSN no matter what the little mini cellphone stays beside your name.

yeah i wondering about this too..i still get msgs but its just annoyin for some reason lol
