    Hey guys!

So I'm just deleting apps I don't use from my bold, and whenever I reboot my phone, and the main screen shows up, the icons of the deleted apps remains on the screen. Is there a way I can completely get rid of it other than keep hiding the icons? Is there an option to stop icons of the apps from coming back after I delete them?

Thanks for the help in advance!

There are some icons that are "pushed" to the phone by the
carrier. Nothing you can do to permanently remove them. Whenever
your service books are resent or, as you have discovered, you
reset the phone they will come back.

The good thing is that they are not actual apps so the amount
of memory they use is negligible.

I never fully understood what the whole "push" thing is about...what is it exactly?

Push is simply things that come to your phone without your
intervention, such as your email and service books (configuration
    files)
