- amazinglygracelessRetired ModThis would be a killer app. I remember Remote Desktop from my
Pocket PC days and miss it immensely as a BB user.10-07-08 01:00 AMLike 0 - amazinglygracelessRetired ModI looked there first. They have a great app for capturing images
from the BB, displaying real time BB screens and capturing it
as a slideshow (video) but nothing to allow for manipulation of the
BB from the PC.10-07-08 01:35 AMLike 0 -
- Let me know how you like it. I have been trying to justify getting one.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com10-07-08 06:44 PMLike 0 - $100 a year is expensive?
My home internet is 40 to 50 a month.
That's 4 to 5 times more then it would cost a year to use the bayalink
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com10-08-08 07:40 PMLike 0 - So I found a program. It's pretty cool. It seems like it can do what we ask it to do. Only thing is right now it's only a limited preview of it so you can't do much and the full thing cost $1,956 per technician per year. Well if someone has started it then we should be able to figure a way to recreate this at a MUCH more affordable price for everyday users. A challenge to the blackberry developers here at Crackberry. Enjoy.
So check it out.

*note It said you need an Enterprise server that allows 3rd part applications. Now I don't know if this was just for those that have BES because it worked pretty good with my non-BES or just saying in order to provide assistance on BES you have to be able to install 3rd party apps. I think it's the latter of the 2.Last edited by distortedvortex; 10-09-08 at 09:23 PM.

- Ahhh that would make it more a toy then a tool for you.

And something I learned about it.
Each Key is paired to a PIN and changing it is a little of a hassle.
So if say you have a key with your BB, it won't work with your wifes/GFs BB unless its reprogramed to do so, which the friendly people at Bayalink said can easily be done, you just have to remember to do it.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com10-10-08 06:47 AMLike 0 - Well, it is very cool. Does everything as advertised. If you're a corporate user who needs VPN to run Outlook (and whose VPN shuts off the Internet when connected), this product is especially cool.
It is slick and fast, very professional. I should have bought this years ago. I'm also going to cancel my tethering BlackBerry plan as this practically eliminates the need for that.10-14-08 09:06 PMLike 0 - The screen looks just fine. It is very clear. It is basically a program running on your laptop (not a big screen view of what is on your Blackberry). So, you can't use this device to do everything that your BlackBerry does, but you can use it for email, contacts, calendar, and web browsing. It integrates with the phone too, but I haven't gotten this to work yet successfully. It acts like when you get a phone call on your berry, you can take the call on your laptop, but I'm not entirely sure that's what's going on.10-15-08 02:33 PMLike 0
- The program to use is Impatica viaDock. This program is inexpensive and can be downloaded for trial from the Impatica website. I would give the url but I am not able to as I have not posted 10 or more posts yet. Anyway, search for either viaDock or Impatica in a search engine and you should find it easily.
That same page gives information on the software.
There is a BlackBerry app and a computer application that work together. It works for both Windows and Mac computers.
Hope this helps.08-24-09 11:13 AMLike 0 - I recall a thread by another CB user asking if she could use her computer to perform blackberry functions and I think this software program is exactly what the OP was looking for. Per the company website, with this program you can access your Blackberry apps and screens from your PC. Per customer service, it's $39.99, one time purchase, all software, and you can connect via bluetooth or usb. Check it out at Impatica viaDock - Control Your BlackBerry with your PC. Thanks gmoore0664 for pointing it out. Baylink is a hardware connection with a software included, which may be why it's more expensive than Impatica ViaDock. Also, with the ViaDock, per company website, you don't need internet access to your laptop or your pc to use email or surf the internet on your pc via your Blackberry. It's outlined in the video on the site.08-24-09 01:11 PMLike 0

- After seeing the advertisement for the REDFLY today it got me searching for other ways to control my Storm, because carrying around a device that can only perform one general task just didn't seem worth the amount they wanted. However if i could get my laptop to control my Storm in a similar way, for a reasonable price, that would be awesome. I would really like to be able to control all aspects of my Storm from my laptop. I am perfectly satisfied using the internet access from my Storm, I just don't want to have to tether it and get charged for the extra data usages.09-15-09 01:19 PMLike 0
- I tried both Baylink and using Impatica ViaDock at the moment on the trial version to see what I think.
From what I can tell both are nice products just depeneds on what you are using your BB for. Bayalink, more proffesional where viaDock might be more for the casual user that wants access to all options. Hope that helps.04-20-10 02:40 PMLike 0 -
