    careful with google sync. it managed to totally screw up my contacts list.

    desktop mgr does exactly what you want.

    Google Sync seems to screw mine up as well. I get the best results through DM. I use the advanced backup method. It allows me to save select files to my PC. I save the file called Address Book (ALL), and save it to my PC. When I need to restore it, I upload the Address Book (All) file back to my BlackBerry using the same method.
