- I am a construction manager looking for an app that I am not sure has been created. What I would like is a kind of ToDo list that would allow you to categorize the list by various subjects. For example, I would like to be able to enter issues/todo's/notes for a specific house with a responsible trade attached to the list. This way I could then sort the list by house number or by trade. I would invision the app being able to give me a list of the issues/todo's/notes by trade with the house number included, or by house number with the trade included. Ideally, it would have an easy interface that could be used quickly while walking through houses and I could call up quickly when I had a specific trade on the phone.
Has anyone seen an app like this? Please advise!10-20-09 09:10 AMLike 0 - Sounds like a BlackBerry version of MS-Project. Have you tried a Google search? I entered "blackberry project manager" and got tons of hits. Several links that looked promising (untested 'cause I'm on wap) -

- As a site super, been using IDX and TMX for years. IDX might be more to your liking as you can attach specs and additional notes that would exceed the field entry capabilities of TMX. $60.00 is really nothing compared to all the CM software out there. About a 1/40th of what I lay down for AutoCAD every two years. Toss in estimating, critical path and charting software, IMX is actually quite a bargain considering how much I rely upon it on a daily basis. I have ICC load values, scans and reports attached to notes, contact names and numbers and much more organized within dozens of drawers. A template of trade duties and responsibilities. Even the contracts of subs in order to verify that the scope of work agreed upon is in progress, or has been completed. It goes on and on.10-21-09 03:32 PMLike 0
- TodoMatrix is expensive but it is well worth it if you have a large number of projects each with many tasks and the need to categorize in multiple ways. It's the only BB app that can do the type of sorting you need. The interface takes a little time to learn, but once you learn it, it isn't difficult.
No lite version. But they do offer a free 30 day trial. I suggest you try it out. After using it for 30 days, you may find you can't live without it.10-22-09 08:58 AMLike 0
