Hope they are on BB10.....
seems like html sites are taking place of apps now? really like having a banking app though.
Damn, that sucks... this was one of the reasons that made me like Chase over Citi...
Hey Lonnie--How are you doing? I'm bummed to hear that! Where did you hear it from? I haven't seen it anywhere. I would think that once it is out there and installed, that there would be no reason it wouldn't continue to work--I mean actually, its nothing more than a short-cut to their site log-on.
Hi Jack!
I heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend...
All's well... counting down the minutes 'til the launch. I still haven't decided if I'm going all touch or holding out for the QWERTY. I'm due an upgrade, so it's just a matter of when :)
Don't forget the 'check deposit by photo' feature
Nope, it won't work. AND, while the website is great for monitoring your accounts and for billing paying, you won't be able to make a QuickDeposit anymore (Making a deposit by taking pictures of your check).
I'm beginning to doubt the information provided regarding the discontinuation of this app... I don't think Chase would do such a thing without informing people about it.
I don't discount it--its coming from the source-so to speak. I don't doubt anything anymore-LOL- but :(
I believe it because 1. I can't find the app in App World any more, 2. In My World where I can pull my installed app's details, there is a pretty-BlackBerry specific link that now redirects to a generic mobile banking landing page. Also, if you look at the mobile app platforms on that page, BB is no longer amongst them.
I just logged on to see if it would work and this is the screen I got--general Chase Mobile site logon.

It's OFFICIAL!
I just got the email from Chase that effective April 21, 2013 will no longer offer the Chase Mobile App for BlackBerry devices. You will have to go to chase.com on your mobile browser.
I too just received the official email from Chase. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with migrating from the app to a mobile Web based offering if in doing so 100% of the original apps functionality were retained. But that's not the case here at all. The remote check deposit by phone feature won't be available, and for me, that was the ultra "sticky" feature that drew me in and kept me on board. To lose that feature is a ridiculous step backwards in technology, and I have no plan to move to an iPhone or Android just in order to continue remote banking with Chase. I will not stand for my bank dictating to me what platform to use, and once a suitable replacement bank is found that supports this feature on my BlackBerry, I'm outta there. So, CrackBerry Nation, I ask for your bank recommendations--where can we disillusioned BlackBerry users take our banking business to? Obviously the desire here is to support those institutions that support us!

I believe Chase was the only big U.S. bank to offer the remote check deposit feature.
Wow, that sucks. Out of the 5 banks I use 1 of them actually still had a working app for BlackBerry, and that was Chase. So much for that. ]= Thank God for Pageonce.
The VP who sent email is same lady who emailed WAMU customers few years back informing that free for ever checking accounts would not be free at Chase. She must be the hatchet lady at Chase. There has to more to this conspiracy considering BB10 US launch is basically same week. How much does JP Morgan Chase have vested in a POOR or SUCCESSFULL Z10 launch?
I emailed Wells Fargo and they indicated an app is in the works for BB10, but offered no ETA. They have a basic app for pre-10 phones, no photo deposit feature.
