- Greetings,
Has anyone been able to install CBS Radio Application (or AOL Radio) from outside the USA? All links that I have found point to the OTA link from App World which will only allow the installation on AT&T phones. If someone has the direct OTA link or the installer files from the app folder, that would be helpful.
Thanks in advance!02-22-10 12:13 PMLike 0 - I don't know about the CBS Radio App, but Nobex Radio Companion has CBS stations. Nobex Radio Companion - Download02-22-10 01:19 PMLike 0
- I have Nobex Radio Companion which does list the CBS Radio stations (WXRK, WCCO, KROQ, etc.) when I search for them. However, when I try to play them, Nobex displays the song that is currently playing but does output any sound. Radio stations from other broadcasters play without any problems so I don't think it's a problem with my installation.
Thanks!02-22-10 06:17 PMLike 0 - hi jlb21
yes i know this method but the point is that i want to listen to the AOL Radio Stations and they are integrated into the CBS Radio App. And since AOL Radio Online is a Flash Player App i cant figure out the Stream URL of these stations.
So the easiest way would be to export the app files from an US Phone and import them to my phone. but unfortunately there is nobody who could give me the files. thats why im asking here!04-14-10 03:13 AMLike 0 - hi jlb21

For example:

80's Country: http://provisioning.streamtheworld.c..._683P_F128.pls
Top Classical: http://provisioning.streamtheworld.c..._924P_F128.asx
However, there is a major problem here with AOL Radio and it is a major , like with the NBC Videos (though an issue of a slightly different flavor). As of February (According to what you hear when you try and start these streams), the streams for AOL Radio can only be played within the US. And I think since the Yourmuze servers are located outside the US (right?), the streams won't be playable. Or perhaps it is that it recognizes that the streams are being played on the device and, like the NBC issue, it thinks the device is in Canada since RIMs servers are there.
Anyone else able to chime in or provide a workaround?Last edited by jlb21; 04-14-10 at 08:47 AM.

Sorry for my late response. yes thats exactly my huge problem :-/ but i pretty sure they dont restrict the access if you have the aol/cbs radio app, by accident i got an iPhone right next to me and i downloaded cbs radio and was able to listen to the AOL Radio stations. so its possible if i would have the app.
i saw youre on verizon, but maybe you are able to get the jad files and supply them to me, so i could test if it works outside the us.
if you dont know how to export these files, please contact me!
thank you in advance.
