Can't seem to get my friends Facebook pictures to sync with my contact list.
- i'm not sure if it just checks periodically or what.
i have noticed that some of my facebook friends pics are attached to thier contact on my phone and some are not.07-14-09 12:44 AMLike 0 - I just figured out a way to force it.......
1. Go into the Facebook App on your phone.
2. Click on the "Friends" icon at the top
3. Scroll to a freind that you have in your address book on your phone
4. Hit the Menu button and scroll to "Refresh Blackberry Contact"
That should do it !Last edited by JustinD2473; 07-14-09 at 01:04 AM.

No biggie...I'm scrolling through now and just refreshing the people I call the most frequently.
Thanks again! Let me know if you figure out a way to refresh them all at once...07-14-09 01:14 AMLike 0 - well before this method i had never done anything to help the process along and many of my contacts had thier pics already...07-14-09 01:22 AMLike 0
- How does the blackberry know whether or not the FB friend has a phone number..
Or rather a phone number in your contacts?
Sorry, I'm new to Blackberry's.07-14-09 01:29 AMLike 0 - TheSultanThe Sultan of CrackBerryI have a feeling it has something to do with the person's name and how it's listed. For instance:
Donald A Trump is my friend on facebook....but he's just a buddy of mine, so in my phone contacts he's just labeled "The Don". When facebook goes to update his info and sync the two, it doesn't "know" that these two are the same person.
If you go in to Edit your contacts, you'll see there is now a field for "Facebook Name". I can't find a way to edit that field yet, but I imagine if I could put in "Donald A Trump" in there, the next time it syncs, it would do so correctly.07-14-09 01:48 AMLike 0 - I have a feeling it has something to do with the person's name and how it's listed. If not, very cool.
EDIT: Donald is such a weird name. I keep saying it over and over again. Doesn't feel/sound right.
Donald. Donald. Donald. Donald..07-14-09 01:52 AMLike 0 -

you link the contact to a bb contact..
but if there is a phone icon by there name that means they put there number on facebook..
if you highlight a name and hit the bb/menu key then link to bb contact07-14-09 03:41 AMLike 0 -
