It's an IT policy that is not allowing you to purchase apps. There is a howto thread in the HowTo section of the crackberry forums that will allow you to remove the policy altogether.

There is an IT policy rule still in play to block you from purchasing apps through your provider.

Get your IT person to look at the policy again.

(And don't remove the IT policy. That could get you in big trouble with your company)

I don't use BES so I don't really know how to remove it. Following the instructions should do it, even though things are slightly different.

So not sure how to do it on OS 6 with BES. He has changed all those settings from my beginning post.

I wonder what else he can change?

did he find another rule after you posted what he changed above? Those aren't it.

Under BES 5.0.2 it's in the Blackberry App World folder and the specific rule is called "Enabll Wireless Service Provider Billing" Make sure that is set to yes.

It will then take 15-30 minutes for the updated IT policy to be pushed to your phone.

    then try again

Unless your company has paid for BES maintenance/support from RIM, you will need to purchase it. I'm not sure if you also need to purchase CALs over again.

I think they have. is there an easy way to find this option?

If your company has it, then its as easy as downloading the installation package and performing the install. I actually only started on BES5 so I have no idea how easy it was to go from 4 to 5.

Easist thing to do for be for your BES admin to call RIM and find out what the options are.

Problem with this is, your problem won't be fixed today..
