I've just changed from a Storm 2 to a Bold 9700 And I can't seem to be able to log into the App World to retrieve my bought apps. Anybody any idea why? Am I missing something obvious?

Best thing I can recommend is to be sure you are typing your password correctly on the 9700... it's a little different than the Storm... open MemoPad and type your password so you can be sure you are using the Shift key correctly and any Alt keys correctly.

Then double check your PayPal account and make sure you have the right email address and password... use your PC.

Ok, logged in from the pc ok and the app world recognises the password as correct but it just says it can't connect. If I type in the wrong password it tells me the email and password don't match.

Ok... let's start with some of the basics... battery pull: leave your device on, pull the battery out for 20 seconds, put it back in... after it's up... resend your Service Books.

The apps you purchased for your Storm were under your Storm PIN.

App World won't show those apps on your 9700 as the device and PIN don't match.

Exactly, If you are using an sd card in your phone, just rename the folder to your current PIN. It should be "YourCard":\BlackBerry\app_world\downloads
When I have done this it doesnt work 100% but the apps you bought are there on that card.

I wonder if it has anything to with this email I got from Pay Pal a few days ago:
"We are constantly working to make PayPal safer, simpler and more convenient for our customers. This means that from time to time we have to make changes to the terms of our User Agreement.

Nah, that's got nothing to do with your problem.

Did you restore the data from your Storm onto your 9700 from a backup file or via Device Switch Wizard in DM? If so, try uninstalling App World and redownloading/installing it fresh.

The only thing I restored was the contacts off a csv file. Already deleted and reinstalled app world. Giving up on it now, off to bed.

    Thanks for your help guys!
