When I upgraded to .317 I lost the bb protect app and when I go to download it, it says it is not compatible with my device, I had it on my previous OS, anyone know how to get it back?

If you have a problem with the device not being found when using your desktop then disable wifi.

nvm, it's actually part of the os on the bold 9930... it's located in the setup application... i had to disable wireless backup so i could retrieve my contacts from bbprotect though

    thanks for everything anyway

BlackBerry Protect is built into OS7 ... isnt it? it's in all the versions of the OS i have tried. Still doesnt work when your using encryption though (which is ridiculous). I'd take a look through, might already be installed or installable via desktop manager
