I have a BB9780 running of the MTN network in South Africa. The phone worked fine up until 2 days ago when i tried updating BB appworld and facebook following the update notifications from appworld.
The downloads failed and the applications on my BB were deleted. I have tried adding them manually by going to the website on my BB browser but i get the following message:
"Sorry, your session has expired. Please close all browser windows and then return to the welcome page to start again"
Well, i tried this and it doesnt work. I have cleared my cache and did a hard reboot an dthat doesnt work.
I then deleted and traces of facebook and appworld off my BB (assumed the files got corrupted during the failed download and installation) and that didnt help either.
Any ideas?10-20-11 07:57 PMLike 0 - Hmmm. My first instinct was to ask if you were on a social messaging vs. data plan, but if you had AppWorld and were browsing then clearly you have data. Perhaps try updating the OS and see if you can manually reinstall the apps that way? If you can get AW back on the device that way and sign back into AW, maybe then you can upgrade the apps.10-21-11 05:27 AMLike 0
- thats kind of the same with me. i have blackberry app world, but when i go to download the new version it only tells me that it failed to download. i was just wondering why it was saying that and what could i do to stop it? i need one app and i can't get it which is kind of frustrating. thanks for helping if anyone has any advise i am open to it07-03-13 10:34 AMLike 0
