Hi. I am contemplating purchasing a Blackberry for personal use. I am particularly interested in the new MLB At Bat app. However, I was wanting to try the app out on my work Blackberry to make sure I liked it prior to purchasing a new phone mostly for one app.
If I download the app to my work BB and then want to transfer it to my personal BB once I buy it, will I have to pay for it again?
Are you asking whether it's possible, or whether it's legal?
Unless the registration code is pin specific you can put the app on your other phone. I would think it's legal to put the app on any number of phones that YOU PERSONALLY own, but I'm, not 100% sure. I think it's the same as how it's legal to rip your own CD's onto your computer, put them on your icon, etc. But I'm not a legal expert (yet lol) so don't take my word on it.
I realized after posting that my current BB is an 8330 and the At Bat app only works on the 8530 and higher. So if I want to see how it will work, guess I need to buy it.
8330 and 8530 are pretty much the same phone. I have an 8330 with os 5.0 and I need to run 8530 themes and apps not regular 8330 apps.
Also if you purchase it from mobihand/crackberry store and use it on your current business phone you can send mobihand an email saying you have upgraded your device and need a new activation code. But remember if this happens it will no longer work on the previous "tester" phone.
Best of luck!
