Yes you can, but you have to buy a paid app to use chat.
there are single apps for facebook chat only which cost like 1-3$, then there are apps like IM+ (lite version -> free) which have fb chat as well, its a multi messenger.. you can have icq/msn/facebook/myspace/twitter/skype etc opened at the same time, but if you only need fb chat and dont use the others I'd suggest buying the fb chat for 1$ since IM+ obviously drains ur battery faster than fb chat only
BeeJive has FB chat, and you only have to log into the IM services that you want. But as with IM+, if you only want FB chat, just get the dedicated app.
Nimbuzz is free.

meebo is free
Anyone tried this?
BlackBerry App World - Chat for Facebook
I wonder if anyone tried it and can tell me lag times in refresh etc. I tried Nimbuzz but it sucked terribly.
if you dont want to try IM+, i'd say go for this: BlackBerry App World - Chat for Facebook Pro
more popular, better rating, better reviews
ur choice, didnt try any of those, i'll stick with IM+
What is it?
How is FB Chat Pro on the lag/refresh? Nimbuzz for example was terrible. People didn't get my messages, it would reload the online friends so slow... etc. IM+ is too expensive IMO. The next BB update should have a good chat for FB too.
idk, i never used it
take a look at the reviews, read some of 'em, maybe u'll find the information you need there
i just said that if you want to try a fb-chat app you might as well just go for "chat for facebook pro" as it has better ratings, better reviews and is just way more popular
maybe someone who uses it here on CB can help you out, anyone?
oh and btw, there is the IM+ Lite version, which is absolutely free so you should definitely try that one out, its great
I use all the time, no issues with lag or messages not being being received. It's worth a try, if you have issues, you can always delete it. I've been using for quite some time without any issues.

What is it called? :)
Its called Facebook Chat Pro. Its free and works very well. Once you log in it automatically pulls up your connections and tells you who is online and available to chat.
Does this "Facebook Chat" work when the other person is on desktop Facebook, and you are on your BB?
I have tryed it that way, and the person on Facebook Desktop can't see me chatting to them.
What am I doing wrong?
In my opinion just download BeeJiveIM. That's what I use and it supports Facebook chat and many others. Also simple to use and you never have to pay.
You gotta scream to the guys at RIM/Facebook to include this feature. Android users got lucky with the new update. It's been quirky, but chatting on the native FB client works. I'm just saying, if things could be updated where Android users can get push notifications, and chatting, BB users should have the right to have one more thing updated on their behalf.
Oh yeah lol, I had actually forgotten I had payed for it a while back xD
I agree, but so far... there isn't one so I will have to look for one. :)
You can chat FB chat on the bolt browser.

Does anyone know if this app has the same facebook login issies that IM+, Beejive ect. Has?
What happens when I've used IM+, I try to check my facebook account and it tells me that another computer tried to access mu facebook account and I have to go through facebook's security protocol and change my password.
Thoughs?

Posts from this thread were deleted due to a .jad file for a premium app being posted. That's against forum rules. I know ya'll just want to be nice and help each other out, which is great, but keep it legal please. :)
Carry on.
I installed FaceChat over a week ago...it's free. Search for it on App World
So do you have to open up one of these applications each and every time you want to chat? Specifically, can chatting only be done in this application or does it crossover to your actual facebook app? I'm confused at how this works.
