Buzz Off is a 3rd party app that functions as a call screener. It is a product of Toysoft Inc ... Toysoft, Inc. - Applications for the BlackBerry.

Most older call screener programs simply blocked unwanted calls but allowed the unwanted caller to leave voicemails. When it debuted, the Buzz Off app introducted a "pick-up-and-hang-up" feature which disconnects the unwanted caller and does NOT allow them to leave voicemail.

Sounds great so far? Well a glitch in the design of the Buzz Off product was that it allowed the call from the unwanted caller to briefly ring before cutting it off. This was an unacceptable feature to many users of the product and many users deleted the program and went back to older apps because of this.

Well Toysoft has upgraded their product and now offers a "No Delay" option so that unwanted calls no longer briefly ring and are immediately cut off with no ringtone at all.

I downloaded the upgraded app this morning and it appears to be working very well.
