Which version of opera mini? Bolt is considerably slower on my 8310 than opera 4.3. Bolt is roughly comparable to opera 5 beta 2.

Bolt is faster than all versions of Opera Mini on my Bold 9000.
Any Opera mini is faster then any Bolt, but Bolt 1.6 is pretty close to Opera 5.0. Bolt hangs at 20% sometimes while Opera is more consistent.

on my 9700 Opera Mini 4.2 is by far the fastest (EDGE - cincinnati ohio still isn't 3G).....

I'm finding Opera Mini 5 runs much faster on my phone than Bolt 1.6.
Not a fan of opera, I prefer Bolt and the new version seems faster
Bolt is ridiculously faster than opera for me here in UK on wifi and 3G (o2 carrier & bold 9000)
I think Bolt is a lot faster than Opera Mini. I tried 5.0 and while it wasn't bad, Bolt works great for me. Never once hung up for me.
Tried 'em all and the clear winner for me is Bolt 1.6 Seems to be much faster on WiFi and radio.
Looks pretty on my Curve but its a little slow due to loading whole pages
Opera works best for me as I can actually read the font. Bolt ...bigger font please!
Opera 5 Beta 2 is by far faster than anything else I've used, including Bolt 1.6. I was very impressed.
Speed means nothing if I can't see the page because the fonts are too small.
For me, OM, 4.2 and beta 5, are a little faster than BOLT. BOLT resets my devices when browsing over WiFi, but not when browsing over the cellular network.
It is faster, but IMO it isn't better than Opera. Don't think I can live w/o the brill speedial mobile interface
Why be confused? Go into settings/preferences and change the size of your font for petes sake.

I prefer Opera Mini, any version. The only thing that seems to trump it is that my Opera Mini 5 beta 2 often won't open the links in emails when I select the "Open with Opera Mini" option. Bolt has not had this problem. (Although, does anyone else have that issue with Opera Mini? Often it will open the app, but it just stays on the page I was last on when I closed it. It never loads the new one from the link like it should.)
moving to 3rd party apps
On certain phones bolt is blazing fast. On my previouis Curve 8330 and my new 8530 it is painfully slow. Also with the 1.6 update the back button just reloads the same page. No more cache? Lame.
The pages look pretty but take too long to load in comparison to Opera Mini or BB browser. If I had all day to just play with my BB then no problem.
Someday they'll get it right

Because when I go large enough to see the fonts it enlarges the web page too much. I have to go to 3X to see the fonts. I just want the fonts larger. Any other idea, I would love to use it.:)
I'm a fan of the new bolt, personally can't stand opera

Look hands down Opera mini 4.2 runs amazing on my storm 1. Plus when watching youtube it plays on my media player. Bolt however, plays on this 1in by 1in screen. Opera mini 4.2 and maybe moving to opera 5 beta2
Why don't you got to mobilespeedtest.com on both browsers and see what the speeds are.
That would be the true test
