Alright. Could you post how it works out for you ? Would rather have opinions before downloading it myself.

I really like it so far. I had been using opera mini 4.2. I upgraded to the opera 5 and I got rid of it in a day. But Bolt, I am liking this so far. very FAST!

Bolt 2.0 is very fast and blows Opera Mini 5 out of the water. The tabbed browsing
is very nice. My only complaint is the need to press two keys for some things but
that is not a deal breaker.

Its just like bolt 1.7 but faster and with tabbed browsing. Pick it up and you won't regret it. Just remember to delete bolt 1.7 first as it won't do it for you.

Tabbed browsing? That sounds really tempting. Didn't RIM promise tabbed browsing one day, or is it like the Gmail Synch, promise and no deliver? Ha!

Does Bolt have an auto-update feature so I can get 2.0 when it's released?

I loaded it. It seems fast, no issues so far. I tried a couple of you tube videos with no issues. To me its much faster then the version of opera mini I was using. I will post back if issues arise.

I've been using Bold (version 1.7) for a while now (Curve 8330 OS 4.5) and love it. Just downloaded Bolt 2.0 and love it even more!! The tab browsing is AWESOME!!! Loads fast and at this point I am having no issues with it. Went to the Bolt website and their FAQ page and found a lot of my questions answered. They also have all the keyboard short cuts listed there. So far.....so good!

Question: what's the difference between the three versions of beta, dual signed, verisigned, and thawte signed ?

I tried the 1.7 version a while ago and wasn't too thrilled. Maybe I wasn't paying attention to the speed but the 2.0 beta is really fast. Took me a minute to get used to it from the bb-browser but now I love it.

Bitstream offer 1.7 to me, not 2.0

    Is this thread a hoax?

I like the Bolt 2.0 beta so far. I hated 1.7, since it was slow as a snail. The new one is much faster.

Wish they would redo the zoom feature. It's pretty awkward to me. I also wish they had a mobile view, for those times when I would like to fit everything on the screen without having to scroll left and right.

Well speed is dependent on server load.

I recall everyone raving about how Bolt 1 was much faster than Opera 4.

Then it went public and people stopped claiming that Bolt was fast.

But anyway, where are you all getting 2.0 from since the site offer 1.7

    Thank you for the link

I can confirm the 83xx version works on the 88xx too. That shouldn't surprise anyone because its the same hardware

Tabs are ok. Speed feels the same as 1.7

Youtube is broken in 2.00 because there is a problem with page rendering when there is a video player. The player object is rendered out of place and I somehow managed to scroll-up to above the title/tab-bar: they were drawn some way down the screen.

Didn't get to watch a film either *shrug*

Its ok though. 2.00 inherits the same old need for an anti-aliased icon )

Just got bolt2 lastnight on my 8300 running os 4.5 and bolt is amazing. Much better than opera hands down! I am on digicel and at times they are unbareably slow so I haven't yet been able to load an entire youtube video but the playback seems to be great!
