Thank for the heads up. I'll wait til it is officially released though. I trust you when you say it's cool but I don't want to be a beta tester at this point!
I can't say for sure, but I expect the latest version on Beta Zone is release-ready. The developers on that team released it without requiring a keycode, which is typically necessary for running the betas.
If you're intrepid but don't want to sign up for Beta Zone, you can find it other places. *cough* rroyy.com *cough*
fwiw: telenav turn by turn comes free on sprint, so i use it and it's good. (fwiw, i find car service/limo drivers using it on their phones instead of reg gps in the nyc-metro area as well.) if you don't find a better choice, you might consider a free trial for your trip.
BB Traffic is useless without map guidance. Telenav shows me a moving map like a normal pnd and indicates proper lane assistance. BB Traffic is just mapping with location based prompts. No visible mapping during guidance. There are some wicked confusing intersections in New England and sometimes having a visible representation of the roads is what makes gps so useful so often.

I remember when this app had almost nothing, so maybe this will be added eventually.
