Only chat seems to work.

Doesnt integrate with Profiles, doesnt show a new message icon in homescreen, doesnt integrate with contact list (like Google Talk) ... hope this all gets sorted out!

It's working ok on my Curve 8310, but it's clearly a BETA version - it still has a lot of rough edges that need to be smoothed out.

It's a dud on the 8300 with OS4.2.

You get a blank screen with "EXIT" in the bottom-right corner.

The only keypresses that register a response are the menu key which pops up a menu with one option - "CLOSE", and the End Call key which is taking you back to the home screen, but leaving the app running.

SKype-to-Skype wouldn't add any additional charges. Once you are connected to Skype's network, you are good to go. It's just the local call to connect your BB to Skype.

The more recent zip file I have of the beta has only one JAD and several COD files. How do I get those on the BB? The DM Application loader doesn't find Skype in the folder I unzipped everything into. What am I missing? ALX file?

Go to Iskoot.com and select your blackberry model and fill out the information needed.
you will receive a link via SMS to download iskoot/Skype it works perfect. For the new BB Bold 9700 (select 9000 Bold) and for New Curve 8520 (select BB 8900)

Things have changed a lot since then.
The only working skype apps are IM+ and IM+Talk, unless you're on Verizon (or maybe Bell or U3 or some other carrier, not sure which).
