Please feedback if your Blackberry Protect is working. Do post your firmware version, telco and Blackberry Protect version.
I am on 261, Singtel, 1.1.1.29, configuration appears fine on the device however, when login to Blackberry Protect site, it shows "no device associated with your account".
Same account was used with 9780 previous and it works fine. No idea if problem lies with firmware, telco (service book), or bug within the application itself.
Initially, I have the device registered. However, found that view my location, lock screen, display massage cannot work, only backup is working fine. Tried to restart Blackberry Protect on device along with battery pull with same result.
Del device on Blackberry Protect, uninstalled / reinstalled application on device. Setup on device looks fine and initial backup have completed. However, on Blackberry Protect Site, it shows "no device associated with account" and backup is blank.
Mine finally works, for some odd reason my 9780 Bold from Vodafone never seemed to work with bb protect even though it was associated with it...never bothered to try and fix it.
But my 9900 is now connected and i can run all the commands ie loud ring, find it via gps and leave a message on the screen.
Every time I try and download BB Protect I get this Error: "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry Protect."
If anyone has a solution to this it would be much appreciated!
Same issue here. Migrated from a 9700 last night. BB Protect just crashed the 9900, so I deleted it from AW thinking I could just resintall it. Now there's no Reinstall button and it says it's not compatible with my device (t-Mobile 9900)

Thats because its been probably blocked off by tmobile...give them a ring and see what they say. Im using tmobile here in the UK and mine works perfectly fine.
It is a proven fact that MOST people use less than 2GB of data a month as a normal user no matter what you are doing on your BB so as an experiment at ther beginning of the year I went down to 150GB plan for $15.00 with VZW to not only save money butto see if it is true and so far it has proven to be true. i am not even close to 2GB a month.
Having said that and why I brought it up was that when BlackBerry Protect came out and I installed it and after going though the whole damn process I found out that you need to have the unlimited plan for it to work... This according to or from VZW CS.
I was dissapointed and uninstalled it and now of course even though I don't need it I cannot go back to unlimited but would not anway since I gave it up and am not grandfathered in.
If anyone else has the similar experience I would love to know about it or do all of you have unlimited using BB Protect?
yeah my blackberry protect doesn't work on my phone either after a whole reboot of my phone says the same thing that most people say up top that my device doesn't support bb protect wtf it was pre loaded on the dam device in the first place
Glad to see I am not the only one with this issue. Protect was working fine on my previous device. But on my 9900 it came per-installed but never worked. Tried deleting it but now can't seem to downloading it . Running stock Rogers .261 is that matters.
so just got my "new" blackberry 9900 today to replace my lemon one and well lets just the build quality on my old one is garbage compared to the one i got today. The little panel under the screen is flush while my other one was raised, the bottom panel were it says rogers on my new was is actually a bit raised while my old one is flush i guess u can win it all the time. But at least my blackberry protect works now like it should when I first got my device. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to get my contacts back on my phone...
Just to be clear. If Blackberry Protect does not show up in your applications you can get it back as it is part of the OS bundle. Connect your phone to the computer. When your Desktop Software comes up click the Applications tab. This is where you can choose your languages and apps. Scroll down the list on the right where you will find Blackberry Protect. Put a check beside it and click Apply.
