9650 Bold. Upgraded to 6.0 bundle 3084 this morning (forget from what, but it was 6.0). In my infinite wisdom, I tried to do OTA upgrade which bombed. Fine, plugged it into Desktop manager and off it went. What I did not realize is that all of my contacts were "lost."

I have been using BB Protect essentially since it came out. With the new OS, Protect wanted to perform a backup. Fine, go ahead; it was successful. When I noticed my contacts were gone, no sweat, logged onto Protect. The ONLY archive entry was from this morning (guess what, contacts were empty).

I know Protect was working in the past, as recent as 4-weeks ago.

    What can I do??

Put the old OS back on your phone, retrieve the contacts using BP, backup the phone with DM, do the 6.0 thing, add your contacts back to the new OS with DM?

    Just guessing here.

Thought about that, but I am accessing BlackBerry Protect via the website on my PC. I have only one BB ID. The archives are not there!

    NVM.

So I decided to access BB Protect from the 9650 (rather than the PC) and viola, there were the archives!
