Ok, here's the deal. I found this on facebook when logged in via pc, went to the app, filled everything out.
1) Doesn't show on profile, despite having chosen it to/set it up.
2) Cannot access via my actual blackberry, only via pc via standard internet when logged in to facebook. Links via search engine when using blackberry take me to the standard facebook site, *not* the mobile site, and are non-functional. The page it does take me to has a misconfigured login prompt on top (boxes don't line up) (and despite already being logged in) and bottom shows my pin exchange profile with edit and other links, which do not work.
So please tell me.. what's the deal? (no sarcasm intended). Despite being a 'blackberry app', was it intended only for use with a pc and never actually made the conversion for mobile site/blackberry use? Also.. will it ever be an app we can download/install on our phone (have others already done this?), or strictly for use when logged in to facebook. (the google maps feature leads me to believe it could be functional for others outside facebook)
Forgive me if these issues have been addressed elsewhere (or if i'm missing something fairly obvious, entirely possible) as I couldn't read the entire thread and did search a bit online for the answers first.
Are any others encountering these issues, or is it just me? If you have, have you found solutions?
Really confused on this one.. any answers would appreciated, thanks.
Judging by the fact that you can't even select a phone that has been released in the past year+, I'm guessing that the app didn't really work well. So, rather than get it working, they abandoned it.
lmao... well i guess that was my fault for not adding the disclaimer "wise-*** replies from elitist know-it-alls not being sought.." It is, however, the very reason why the question was primarily asked of the developer.
The phone was purchased 6 months ago. Not everyone has the luxury of paying hundreds of dollars for a phone Eric.. and some (like myself) are actually limited by the offerings of our provider. Go figure.
I finally decided it was time to expose myself to BBM. Wait, that sounds weird. I've never used BBM before and since it's such a big draw and marketing point, I figured I'd better start trying it out. I googled and came across the FB app. Looks really cool! But I would also like to know if the phone types will ever be updated...
edit - Oh yeah, and can you add barcode uploading/scanning? typing PINs is so...whenever it was that people stopped doing that. apparently.

Reason: barcodes!
When i search for this app on Facebook, and try to start it i get this error: Secure browsing is not supported
This application does not yet support secure browsing (HTTPS). How do i solve this? I try to set secure browsing to un-secure HTTP and then i get the error Page not found...
