RIM has just made at least 20 apps/games free of charge until May 31st. These apps are gamechanging apps that make the BlackBerry user expience MUCH better.
In here we have a LED changing app, a popup message app, a great weather app, some awesome games, a smiley pack, a utility app with 16 great features, a caller ID voice app, etc....
All these apps used together will completely change the way you use your BlackBerry. It's things like that that RIM is doing right, they just need to advertise it a bit. They have completely advanced the BlackBerry OS by making these great apps available for free.
I'm not sure why this was moved. This was to be a discussion about how these apps are changing things for BlackBerry users. This isn't about the apps, its about a general BlackBerry discussion
Threads get moved WAY too quickly on these forums, it's rather annoying!
Please forgive me if this has already been stated somewhere else but I tried to download the above stated files from app world and it doesn't say that it's free?

Are they not free for the Torch 9810?
It could be location based. N/A for free in Canada. We should be used to that by now.
"Unavailable for this device." for everything I try to install, even though some themes mention they are compatible with OS6. But when you click "View supported countries," you see a very small list of countries. EDIT One theme said "All countries," but it showed the regular price, not free. (confused)

From what I understand, they're free for the US only.... for now.
since I think RIM just want US market for their Blackberries and they forgot all other loyal BB users around the world,
nowadays there are lots of phone like iPhone or Android that can do all the things that BB can,
may be its a hint for all other users in the other parts of the World that RIM forgot to try other better technologies rather than stuck with RIM.
I have 3 BBs and very disappointed with RIM on this move
As a loyal BB user and abuser since the 9000 (now sporting a 9790 and loving it) I wish they would have included us up in Canada, however I can see why they are going after the US market.
They should advertise this more though.
"Hey US!! Buy a BB7 device by May 31st and receiver FREE premium apps!" It would be bound to draw in a few more customers, no?
