With new blackberry devices coming to the market, will apps in blackberry app world start to get more visually appealing as ones such as android, iphone, palm pre etc? I've found that many of the apps in app world are mediocre and not worth my time except for ones like slacker, poynt, and yp mobile.
As new OS's and screen resolutions come out, yes they will be.

I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of umph in BB apps but for the most part, I'm fine with the plain interfaces. If I wanted a phone with tons of umph, I would have bought a 3GS or an unlocked G1.
Translation: If I wanted a better phone, I would have bought a 3GS or an unlocked G1.
Better is a qualitative term, not quantitative. What may be better for some may not be better for others. I love my Berry. I hate the iPhone.
