hi guys, I'm an exchange student in Canada, I bought BB9700 outright days ago, switching from iphone 3gs.

I will stay here for four months(20 days left, lol), so I have no data plan.

1, Whenever I launch Gmail app, it keeps telling my "stream closed",

2, for google sync, it says "login failed, due to network problems please check your settings".

One more question, when I chose "set up email", what I have is just a Enterprise email set up, no personal email setup, WTF. should i go back to iphone which gives muchhhh easy email setup ?

I know if I have BIS it would never happen, but that doesn't make sense for one just stays in Canada for 20 days more, right ? lol

If you switched from an iPhone to a Blackberry, you'd need the Blackberry data plan. Failing that, data related items may not work. Can you browse the internet?

yep, what i have now is just pay as you go account.
